Balls
In the game of golf,
there are two types of golf balls. They differ
according to the outer-covering material used. The two materials are
balata and surlyn.
1. Balata: These balls have a softer covering,
designed for increased accuracy. They have a shorter life, and are the
more expensive of the two.
2. Surlyn: This material creates a ball with a harder
covering. They are designed for greater distance as opposed to accuracy.
The covering being harder and, therefore, more durable, surlyn-covered
balls have a longer life, and are less expensive than those made with
balata.
